Letter from the Founder

Blue Street Capital was built on a simple belief: growth and opportunity shouldn’t be gated. They should be shared. What started as my personal drive to grow has evolved into a company-wide mission — creating an environment where everyone we serve — society, partners, investors, clients, and employees — can thrive.

Over the past two decades, our story has played out in three very real phases (thanks, Jim Collins, for the framework).

• Phase One: Survival. The first ten years were less about bold vision and more about staying alive. The 2008 financial crisis nearly wiped us out, but instead of breaking, it forced us to get stronger. Antifragile, as Taleb would say.

• Phase Two: Viability. The next decade proved we had a real business. We found our footing by focusing on the right team, the right culture, and values that didn’t bend when things got hard. It wasn’t smooth sailing (understatement), but the adversity gave us clarity about who we are and what we stand for.

• Phase Three: Greatness. That’s where we are now. And unlike the first two phases, we get to play offense. We have the best team in our history, a clear vision, and the chance to grow by serving at the highest level. Or, to put it less formally: LFG.
  

Through it all, Blue Street has never just been about financing. Yes, we build programs that help companies scale. But the real mission is bigger: to change the way the world works. That means giving back, serving others, and creating a culture of Work-Life Abundance where people bring their whole selves — not just their work selves — to the table. It turns out that’s not only the right thing to do; it’s also the most prosperous thing to do. When people thrive, organizations thrive. Everyone wins.

Our approach is guided by principles that never go out of style: integrity, clarity, and contribution. For our employees, that means we invest in them as whole people, not just job titles.
